Five artists reconsidered Stephen the Great at the end of the commemorative year 2004. Curated by Dan Popescu, the exhibition questioned the historical figure’s sainthood and the patriotic rhetoric surrounding him.
Works included a painted carousel statue by Gorzo, a Turkish-delight sword by Alina Buga and plaster fingers by Suzana Dan.
