Structures that make room for freedom.
Boats, paragliders, skis: objects made for movement are held within fields of colour. Codruța Cernea removes the human figure, letting these structures suggest the freedom they make possible.
The artist describes the series as an attempt to understand how a framework can both constrain and support us. Presented at H’art in 2016, Float, Glide, Fly is accompanied by Dan Popescu’s exhibition essay, Optimism simbolic.
