A shape for freedom.
Codruța Cernea paints places in which personal experience and the surrounding world reflect one another. Her landscapes hold a meditative stillness, touched by solitude, desire and a sometimes fragile connection to nature.
In Float, Glide, Fly, shown at H’art in 2016, clear forms and fields of colour examine the relationship between structure and freedom. The exhibition and her participation in Expoziția Dan Popescu are two moments preserved in the gallery archive.
