Canvas, spray, space.
Lucian Hrisav brings spray paint and airbrush from mural practice onto canvas. Edges soften, light seems to diffuse through the surface, and the image takes on something of a screen’s instability. The relationship between painting and its surroundings extends beyond the canvas.
His 2023 exhibition, Și m-am trezit îndrăgostit de tot ce nu vedeam, explored that relationship within H’art’s space. In 2026, his work was shown alongside Radu Comșa’s at Art-o-rama Marseille, in a joint H’art × SABOT project supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Paris.
