Football, faith and power enter the same arena.
In “Îmi place Dumnezeu”, Dan Popescu reads Dumitru Gorzo’s project through the relationship between football spectacle and political life. The game becomes a space in which influence is negotiated.
The exhibition text follows the religious and nationalist rhetoric that can accompany this proximity. Beyond sport, the project considers the collective mechanisms of power.
