Dumitru Gorzo’s cast of characters grows and changes from one work to the next. Drawing, painting and sculpture give them different bodies; the energy of the gesture runs through them all. His practice moves freely between figuration and abstraction, humour and unease.
Gorzo was part of the generation with whom H’art opened in 2002. Din dragoste and La adăpostul unor plante invazive are two exhibitions in that shared history. In 2025, Dan Popescu co-curated the artist’s exhibition at MARe.
