Painting leaves the gallery and returns changed.
Nicolae Comănescu used painted canvases as tablecloths in bars and clubs, allowing their contact with people, food and drink to alter the works.
Curated by Ioana Marinescu, the H’art Appendix exhibition paired recent paintings with photographs documenting that experiment. It opened on 20 November 2015 at Calea Victoriei 91–93.
