Ion Bîrlădeanu’s collages in a Berlin retrospective.
The exhibition Ion Bârlădeanu Kunstwerk aims to offer a retrospective of the work of Ion Bârlădeanu (b. 1946 in Zăpodeni, Romania). The artist is well known for his collages and his art which refused to conform to the norms of the communist regime in which he lived and by which he was shaped in the first part of his life.
His collages speak, with humor and naked honesty, about man’s most simple desires, and continue to fascinate and inspire artists from Romania and across the world who come to meet him and admire his work.
